Read the description, then click on the files tab at the top, download the first file, and install it. the easy way to get the D3D9 file is to go here you should check there for info on running fallout 3 on windows 7 or 8.ġ. BTW, most of this info is in the pinned topic at the top of the discussion forum. either my desktop or to a new folder i made in the "my games" file named fallout3oldsaves or something similar. (if you have any saves, i'd move it to another location, e.g. add the D3D9 file to the folder that contains Fallout3.exe you may need to delete your save file before you add D3D9. that's just in case you mess up the FALLOUT.INI file then you can delete the one you messed up and rename fallout3original.ini to FALLOUT.INI)Ģ. copy it somewhere then change the one in the my games/fallout3 folder and make sure its named FALLOUT.INI, then move the fallout3original.ini back into the my games/fallout3 folder. (i'd rename any ini file i was going to change to e.g., fallout3original.ini or something as well before making any changes to the ini file. The Display section comes right after the General section, so paste those two line above. Just do an Edit/Find and type in the following and click Find Next: (at the end of the General section of the ini file) Add the following lines to the FALLOUT.INI file in C:///documents/my games/fallout3/ This is a pinned topic at the top of the threads.ġ.
